Catriona Morris Safety Centre Charity’s New Chair of Trustees

Catriona Morris is the new chair of the Safety Centre Charity’s board of trustees, following the departure of David Foster earlier this month.

Catriona joined the Safety Centre Charity’s Board of Trustees in January 2017. Previously Catriona was a councillor on Milton Keynes Council for 12 years, including being Mayor of Milton Keynes in 2012/13. She is also a Buckinghamshire Magistrate.

Shared Values

The values of the Safety Centre Charity align strongly with Catriona’s. She believes passionately in the education of children, particularly teaching children to be safer. Catriona is delighted to have been appointed the new Chair of Trustees and said:

“I am extremely excited about this new challenge, David is a very hard act to follow but I look forward to working with the team to continue to deliver our vital work, particularly ensuring the Safety Centre is in a position to develop safety education to meet the changing challenges that face society.”

Maya the Chief Executive of the Safety Centre Charity said:

“We’re so pleased to have Catriona as the new Chair of the Board for the Safety Centre Charity. As the region’s leading safety education charity we’re looking forward to taking our next steps towards educating children, young people and adults with the support of Catriona. This is an exciting time for the Safety Centre Charity as we’ve restarted our school outreach programme, welcomed schools back to our education centre Hazard Alley and renewed afresh our partnership working with our networks after lockdowns lifted. We look forward to sharing this journey with Catriona.”
