Hazard Alley is looking for a new Chief Executive

We are looking for an influential and inspirational Chief Executive to lead the Safety Centre, best known as Hazard Alley, from the early Autumn.

After 25 years of safety education to over 500,000 children, there is great local awareness of, and affection for, Hazard Alley. Around 14,000 young people usually visit the centre each year, a further 2500 taught out in schools, around 650 people are trained in first aid and we generate an annual revenue in excess of £250k. We won two business awards in 2020.

The CEO must lead and manage all aspects of the charity working with Trustees to develop long-term strategic direction and a three-year business plan to develop new and financially sustainable ways of providing safety education, building on the grant funding and business support we already enjoy. The Centre has 6 staff plus about 40 volunteers.

If you have bags of enthusiasm and an understanding of how to develop a regional social enterprise, we would love to hear from you. You can read the chair of trustee’s welcome letter and find more details about the role and how to apply.

Closing date: 11th September 2020 at 5pm (not 31st August 2020 as on the details)
